Here’s a question for you: are you the type of person who makes decisions based on opportunities, or do you base them on your personal circumstances? It seems as if the majority of people out here will sit through a network marketing presentation, recognize that it is the solution to their financial challenges, but refuse to make the decision to get involved based on the OPPORTUNITY. They base their decision almost purely on their circumstances, which in most cases is a twisted perspective on whether or not they can afford it.
In early 2009, my personal finances were in ruins due in part to being downsized from my job. It was so bad that we had to supplement our groceries by going to food pantries just to survive. In the midst of these tough circumstances, I discovered an online marketing system that was designed to assist network marketers with getting skills for lead generation, cashflow, personal branding, and downline retention.
This system also led me to a gentleman who became a millionaire at age 27 and was ranked as the #1 income earner and recruiter within this system. So, “luck” was working in my favor to be able to have direct access to someone like this. But there was one catch; in order to work with him, I needed to pay $50 per month for this system. I simply didn’t have $50 to spend, and this is the part of the story that would end for most of you reading this if you were in the same situation.
Instead of dismissing a clear OPPORTUNITY to get skills to pay the bills, I didn’t let my CIRCUMSTANCES dictate my future. So, I decided that I would find the money somehow; not because of the system, but because of the man that I felt could help get me out of those circumstances to begin with.
I was “squeezing blood out of a turnip” as the old saying goes just so that I could continue to cover the cost of this system. It wasn’t easy and at times I really didn’t know how I was going to come up with the money, but each month I found a way to do it.
Because I made that decision on the opportunity more than my circumstances, here’s what has happened since then:
-In 6 months I was able to go from eating out of food pantries to employing 3 people who were in the same situation I was in
-I was able to generate over $15,000 in the month of September from the sale of a resource that I developed
-In 9 days I became the #1 income earner and recruiter in the state of Ohio for my company, Numis Network
-On April 23rd of 2010, my wife was able to walk away from her job and work with me full time
-On July 1st of 2010, we will be relocating to Florida, fulfilling a dream that my wife has had for many years
The point is simply this: had I made the decision NOT to invest into that system, I would not be able to do any of the things I just mentioned, and many more. I cringe at the thought of how many people miss out on their “knight in shining armor” with the “I can’t afford it” thinking. For 97% of the people, this is just a knee-jerk, conditioned response that will keep you broke, busted and disgusted.
Just like the popular book title says – you must “THINK” and grow rich. I challenge you to reassess whether you’re making decisions based on the many opportunities to gain resources, tools, and connections that can change your situation in the blink of an eye, or on your so-called “financial situation.” Make today your day to start making decisions on opportunities and not JUST your circumstances.
