Are you finding it more and more difficult to generate more than just “foot traffic” to your site? Would you like to know the best way to turn a visitor into a genuine lead? In this article I’m going to share a powerful technique for converting leads that is so simple you may even kick yourself for not doing this sooner.
Lead capture pages, also known as “squeeze” pages are pretty much the norm when it comes to online marketing. Not having a capture page is almost like not having a cell phone, which means you are not plugged in to the rest of society. If you consider yourself a professional marketer, it goes without saying that you must have some sort of lead capturing mechanism in your arsenal.
The problem isn’t in the capture page itself for most people; the problem lies in how they use it to generate leads.
Because capture pages are so commonplace, you have to do something to separate yourself from the masses. The average capture page consists of a whole lot of text with words designed to “trigger” a response from your audience, but it begins to have the same affect as if you heard gunshots on a regular basis. Because of thefrequency of the same old stuff, you begin to become dull to this routine and stop engaging long enough to potentially sign up for the “free report” or “download.”
So, what is the answer? It’s simple; right on the front of your capture page, in the form of a video, GIVE AWAY A DEVASTATINGLY GOOD TIP, TRAINING, OR “HOW TO” so that, even if they DON’T opt in to the site, it would have been as valuable as if they had.
On the front of my capture page, I go so far as to say right in the video, “even if you never sign in to my website, I want to give you something RIGHT NOW that you can take and get an immediate result starting today.” At that point, I do a short, 2-3minute “meaty” training on some sort of lead generation, cashflow generation,or personal branding technique that absolutely will help them to get a different result.
By the end of my video, they will have a new resource,tool, or technique that improved their life or business, and because the value is THAT GOOD, they are FORCED to opt in to my site.
Why does this work so well? It’s simple; it’s human nature to want more of what you can’t have. For example, in 2-3 minutes, I can take a person from having no idea how to generate a lead on Facebook to not only generating leads, but getting 2-3 highly qualified leads THAT DAY.
I disclose every possible detail that is relevant to getting that lead and I make sure that they understand the simplicity of how it works and how to implement it.
THAT’S GIVING VALUE! When I stopped “hinting” at what they would get by opting in and simply GAVE IT TO THEM UP FRONT, it had an amazing affect on my lead flow.
I realized that you can’t lose by GIVING. You only lose by trying to withhold what you have thinking that it “curiosity” will get them to opt in.
So, figure out how to put together a “mini-training” for the front page of your site and give it away no strings attached. You’ll be amazed at how many people will respond begging for more.

Great information Larry. I guess it is counter intuitive to us to think that you can actually get someone to opt in to your list by flat out giving away massive value, but then again, that’s how attraction marketing is supposed to work so this makes a ton of sense. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
