In my first MLM opportunity, I was instructed to show 15 presentations and out of that effort, I should be able to recruit at least one person. To most people that sounds like a lot of presentations, and it can be time consuming to drive around to 15 different locations to present your opportunity and hope that you don’t get any “no shows.”
In today’s MLM success formula tip, I want to show you how to get sign ups into your business even if you’ve never spoken to the person before.
Yesterday on Facebook, a guy from Canada hit me with an instant message to chat about my primary business. Ironically, he said that he had watched a generic training that I did that drew him to learn more about me, and then subsequently he started to look at my particular MLM opportunity.
What’s funny about this situation is that this guy was already active in another MLM opportunity, but got curious about what I’m doing because of the value that he got out of my training. I asked him if he’d like an opportunity to work with me directly, and he was pleased that I would offer. I explained that in order to work with me, it would first require him to join my team. He signed up on the spot.
Earlier in the month of January, 5 people enrolled in my business in the same day who I did not personally present my business to, and who I did not know at all prior to their enrollment. Now I realize these two examples appear to be extraordinary or even totally unbelievable, but after I explain why this MLM success formula works for me and a lot of top network marketers who have mastered the internet, it will excite you to know that this is not an exceptional situation at all. In fact, it’s becoming quite normal for me.
The power of the automatic rep begins with learning how to create a following. Howard Stern has a following. Oprah Winfrey has a following. I have a following. This is the secret to getting an automatic rep. When someone latches on to you by way of some value that you’ve given them, it is human nature to want to explore you.
By creating a lot of valuable content and submitting it online in a variety of formats (i.e. videos, articles, blogs, recorded webinars, podcasts, etc.) you give a hungry person and opportunity to dine from the buffet of content that you serve. The more stuff they put on their plate, the more the like your “cooking.” Sooner or later, if they consume enough of you, they’ll want to deal with you directly.
On my Youtube channel I have over 80 videos and 300 subscribers; on Facebook I have a group with nearly 1,400 members and 2,700 friends; on LinkedIn I have over 1000 connections; on my weekly webinars I have consistently 115 or more participants. I’ve built up a following over the past few months, and like clockwork every single day somebody raises their hand and says, “I want to join you.”
Back in February of 2009, I was on the verge of committing “network marketing suicide” because I just couldn’t get anything to work. I signed up for a $1.00 test drive at StonecoldMillionaire.com on March 5th, and I began to learn how to create a following. Within 30 days I generated 70 leads online for the first time.
Since then I’ve had over 13,000 people visit my various pieces of content and I enjoy the benefit of having automatic reps sign up with me. I drive a lot of traffic to a 24-hour webinar of my opportunity in every place that someone would search for me, so that I never miss an opportunity to get my business in front of someone. If you like the idea of automatic reps, this is how you do it. Once they sign up, I contact them, build a relationship, and personally train them. Mix this MLM success formula in with everything else you do and you’ll see a nice increase of sign ups in your group.
Oh yeah, it’s duplicatable too.
