Why Overcoming The Dilemma Of Recuiting Broke People Has To Be A Priority

TWEET ME! =====================================================>

UPCOMING WEBINAR:  “How To Recruit People Who Make 100k/yr. In Some Other Business”

Frustration is extremely high when most of the people you recruit don’t have two nickles to rub together to make a dime. I would be willing to bet that you’ve either quit another company because you couldn’t get anyone to stick, or are on the verge of dropping out of the company you’re with right now because you aren’t making any money. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I doubt it. If you don’t change this situation, you will NEVER get to where you want to go in your business.

I can remember the days of having opportunity meetings in my home with a house full of “prospects” sitting around my dry erase board.  Back then, I used to get all fired up when we would fill the room and have people watching our presentation.  At first it seemed as though my eyes were blind to the blank stares, the crossed arms, the uneasy shifting in the chair, and of course my favorite of them all – looking down at their watch 15 times to see how close they were to being done with this “torture.”

After a bunch of meetings where no one would enroll, we finally got some that did.  The excitement only lasted for a brief moment in time once they found out that there was expenses for autoship, supplies, functions, etc.  It was even worse when the people that they invited were just like them – broke.

The old saying, “birds of a feather flock together” is so true, and when it comes to building a network marketing business, you better have some birds with money and influence or you’ll have an empty financial nest.

It wasn’t until I learned how to recruit people that have a high-net worth that things started to turn around.  Not only will they stick and stay longer, they bring to the table others who can also stick and stay.

The other huge benefit of recruiting successful people is that they have MAJOR influence.  When I recruited broke people, it was always a struggle to get their prospects to listen.  They would drill my new rep with questions upon being invited to a presentation:

“What’s this all about?”

“Do I need to put up any money to get in this thing?”

“What are you doing NOW?  You’re always trying to sell stuff.”

“Can I wait to see how you do with it first?” (I think this is the most ridiculous of them all)

What a freakin’ headache!

When I sit down with my reps who have genuine success in their other occupation, the environment is totally different.  I’ve witnessed more than once one of my affluent reps pick up the phone or send out an email to invite their colleagues or associates to their business presentation with little or no resistance!

Can you imagine a room full of prospects who come to the event almost solely on the respect they have for your new rep?  That’s power, my friend.

These prospects don’t sit in the room with their arms, legs, and eyes crossed during whole event.  And guess what?  They even ask intelligent questions at the end!  If you’ve not experienced this, you should.  Once you have a meeting like this, you’ll be hooked.

If you have an existing “chicken list” of people that you won’t call because you think they won’t be interested, think again.  It’s better to have a group of people who all have resources, the right mentality, and some social power than a bunch of people who “need it.”

You’re not running a non-profit organization, so anything that isn’t putting money in your bank account you should be allergic to.

I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with respect to recruiting, so share those comments below.  Don’t forget to register for the upcoming training on how to find people who earn 100k/yr. in another business.

You hit the nail on the head with this one Larry. We’re talking about two totally different mindsets.

See you Sunday!

This is very true Larry. When I came to the Social Media event in Atlanta my family questioned to me why I would pay $50 for a conference, you know what they asked me, where there was going to be food there!?. Then I sat back and watched what they spent their money on, clothes, shopping, going out to eat, all of which easily cost more than $50. Not to mention the expenses it took to get there. All I could do was shake my head.

Hi Larry – You speak the truth. We all know of Professional Network Marketers who were flat broke when the started and are now financially free no matter what…. the thing is, they were financilally broke but already extreemly weatlth when it came to attitude and mindset. Mostly people with no money are flat broke accross the board and I don’t mean to be unkind.
